We did the first training for Matavén Health Services Managers, people actively working from their territory to improve health and well-being of their communities. Nine (9) managers participated in the workshop addressing:
- Sexual violence against minors
- Importance of vaccination
- Malnutrition
- Census update
- Formats filing
This workshop is part of our “Activity 5: Implementation of training and education programs” where we work to create opportunities, tools, infrastructure, favorable conditions and resources so that Matavén communities acquire the skills needed to manage and actively participate in REDD+ Matavén activities and other initiatives to protect their natural resources and improve their quality of life.
Also, this workshop is part of our “Health Care Special Program” where we focus on responding to specific needs of Matavén indigenous communities and improve their well-being.
