ACATISEMA Cabildos Board, ACATISEMA Coordinating Committee, ACATISEMA technical and administrative staff, Project Coordinators and MEDIAMOS group met in Bogotá to present the results and the budgetary execution of the Project for 2018-2019. They also designed the triennial investment Plan for 2020-2022 and distributed more than 900 copies of informative booklets to indigenous leaders, so that they could share information with their communities.
Additionally, Project Coordinators attended the 3rd training for 2018-2019 verification process; they received information, documents (templates, protocol, maps, etc.) and equipment (GPS) to prepare for the audit.
Our Mataven REDD+ Project is a participatory process, we work hand in hand with RIU-SM indigenous communities to tackle climate change, stop deforestation, protect their tropical forests & reduce CO2 global emissions – while safeguarding their rich biodiversity and improving their well-being.
