New tools for Matavén community centers

We provided tools, equipment, office items and musical instruments to the community centers in the sectors of Barranquito Laguna Colorada, Laguna Anguilla La Macarena, and Laguna Negra and Cacao; as part of our “Activity 3: ACATISEMA governance strengthening”; to support the Association of Councils and Traditional Indigenous Authorities of the Matavén Forest (ACATISEMA) strengthening its leadership and autonomy to guarantee the survival of its indigenous peoples and the protection of their natural resources.

***ACATISEMA is an indigenous association legally recognized by the Colombian government since 2002, representing & leading Matavén political, economic, and socio-cultural processes. ACATISEMA is one of the Project Developers.  

In the Barranquito Laguna Colorada Sector we delivered:

  • 1 professional sound booth with microphone
  • 1 office desk
  • 1 ergonomic chair
  • 100 plastic chairs with armrests

En el Sector Laguna Anguilla la Macarena entregamos:

  • 15 metal filing cabinets with 3 drawers
  • 76 erasable markers
  • 750 pens
  • 15 reams of paper
  • 15 packets of manila envelopes
  • 17 staplers
  • 17 hole punches
  • 15 erasable boards
  • 14 acrylic boards

  • 7 wireless microphones
  • 6 poles for microphones
  • 2 sets of cables from console to speakers
  • 1 piano with accessories
  • 1 set of professional acoustic drums with accessories
  • 1 set of professional electric guitar with accessories
  • 1 set of professional electric bass with accessories
