Tools & supplies for Berrocal Ajota y Barranquito Laguna Colorado communities

As part of the “Activity 2: Improvement of the systems of communications, transportation and information” and the “Housing & Community Dining Rooms Special Program” we provided the following tools & supplies for the indigenous communities of Berrocal Ajota y Barranquito Laguna Colorado in the Indigenous Reservation of the Mataven Forest (RIU-SM for its acronym in Spanish):

  • 104 kg of steel nails
  • 13 wheelbarrows
  • 3 metal river boats
  • 23 outboard motors
  • 4 bicycles
  • 16 water storage tanks – 500 liters
  • 4 solar panels – 200W 12V
  • 31 batteries – 12V – 200AH
  • 3 voltage converters – 12VDC to 110VAC 1000
  • 1 sealed battery 55AH
  • 20 cookware sets

Our Mataven REDD+ Project is a participatory process, we work hand in hand with RIU-SM indigenous communities to tackle climate change, stop deforestation, protect their tropical forests & reduce CO2 global emissions – while safeguarding their rich biodiversity and improving their well-being.
