Coomatavén participated in the XX Festival of Three Cultures from November 4th to 6th, in Inírida (Guainía, Colombia). At our stand we had handicrafts produced with mamure bejuco by Matavén indigenous communities. We also had a scale model of a Churuata Piaroa, which is a kiosk where indigenous peoples gather to perform their ancestral rites and spiritual ceremonies, and to share their foods.
At Coomatavén we work to improve the well-being of Matavén indigenous peoples: we create new commercial opportunities for them, and we promote their survival by making visible their ancestral traditions.
