We have completed a brand-new classroom at Antonio Villavicencio School in the Sukuara community, Bajo Río Vichada Dos sector of the Resguardo Selva Matavén. This initiative not only addresses the need for proper educational spaces but also reinforces our commitment to the holistic development of Indigenous communities. This classroom is more than just a physical structure. It represents a meeting point where the children and youth of Sukuara can learn, dream, and build a future full of opportunities. Each student will benefit from an environment that fosters learning, skill development, and preparation to face the challenges of an ever-changing world.
At the REDD+ Matavén Project, we believe education is a powerful tool for transforming lives and strengthening communities. That’s why we actively work to ensure access to education, providing tools and spaces designed to empower Indigenous communities. Education not only opens doors to knowledge but also promotes the conservation of natural resources and the strengthening of cultural and economic autonomy.
