Through this Key Activity, we aim to create better and greater access to information, healthcare services, education, and local markets while enhancing mobility and community participation in the REDD+ Matavén Project and other initiatives of interest. Its successful implementation has led to significant results and benefits, including.
We provide allowances for transportation (river, land, air), lodging, and meals to help Indigenous leaders and members of the Resguardo participate in meetings, workshops, working groups, and institutional engagements with government ministries, mayor’s offices, governor’s offices, and national public and private entities.
This also includes participation in national and international events, contract follow-up visits, project execution verification, territory monitoring, and the delivery of school kits, food, supplies, tools, and materials for productive projects.
With limited internal roads, most transportation happens by river, which is costly and time-consuming. As part of our ongoing activities, REDD+ Matavén finances transportation for people and delivers essential products and services to the communities of the Resguardo.
