At the REDD+ Matavén Project, we are firmly committed to transparency and to keeping the Indigenous communities of Matavén well informed. Their leadership and participation are the foundation of everything we do. Thanks to the joint efforts of the communities and project co-developers ACATISEMA and MEDIAMOS F&M, REDD+ Matavén continues to strengthen its role as a high-impact climate solution, delivering real and measurable environmental, social, and cultural benefits across the territory.
As part of this commitment, each year we produce the Annual REDD+ Matavén Newspaper, a communication tool designed especially for the communities. It highlights the year’s key achievements, activities, and programs, and promotes accountability and inclusive governance. During the Captains Workshops, each community leader receives a number of printed copies and is responsible for distributing them to families. This ensures that Project updates reach every corner of the territory in a direct and timely way. In addition, printed copies are available to anyone interested at the ACATISEMA offices.
The newspaper offers a clear and accessible overview of the collective work done over the past year to protect natural resources, strengthen Indigenous governance, and improve the quality of life for the communities.
Visit, learn, and share. The REDD+ Matavén story is your story too!
A digital version of the newspaper is also available here.
