At REDD+ Matavén, we believe that education is one of the most powerful tools to transform lives and strengthen communities. That’s why we are moving forward with determination, opening new doors for Indigenous youth to access professional training and leadership opportunities rooted in their territory.
In recent days, we visited several higher education institutions in Colombia to explore strategic partnerships aimed at expanding access to inclusive, relevant, and territory-focused academic programs for young people from Matavén.

Each meeting marks a step toward a future where more Indigenous students become professionals who are deeply committed to their communities, cultures, and the protection of their forests.
These efforts are part of REDD+ Matavén’s broader commitment to strengthening local capacity, advancing Indigenous higher education, and safeguarding the region’s cultural and environmental legacy.
